National Educators Workshop
I have been attending Jim Jacob's NEW-Update workshops for several years. This is an excellent workshop where teachers from high schools, technical and community colleges, and universities, present papers on hands-on activities they have developed at their schools. It has given me a chance to show the world what UCD is doing in terms of its materials science laboratory teaching and it has given several undergraduate students a chance to get involved in developing teaching materials and to present their work at a national conference.
